A New Way to Work With Equestrian Professional
Over the years, Equestrian Professional has built an extraordinary library of business tools, expert resources, and deep industry knowledge for horse professionals. Those resources remain an important part of what we offer, and for horse professionals who prefer to work independently, these resources provide a solid foundation.
But I've also been thinking a lot about what horse professionals need beyond content.
Most horse professionals already have more things competing for their attention than they have time to address. What is harder to find is a place to step outside the day-to-day demands of the business, think strategically about both the business and your professional career, talk through important decisions with people who understand the industry, and get help when you need it.
So we're changing the way Equestrian Professional Membership works.
If you're already an Equestrian Professional member, your current Membership rate will not change. You'll simply have the option to upgrade should you choose to.
Resource Membership
For horse professionals who want access to Equestrian Professional's business resources but don't want ongoing live support, the Resource Membership provides complete access to our Member Library, custom horse business calculators and tools, webinar replays, tutorials, articles, guides, checklists and downloads. This membership is an excellent option for those who do well working on their own or simply want the resources to be there when they need it.
Resource Membership is $39/month.
Professional Membership + Group Coaching
Your horse business and your professional career are deeply connected. Decisions about horses, clients, pricing, staffing, facilities, marketing and finances don't just affect the performance of the business. They shape your opportunities, reputation, workload, income and the direction of your career for years to come.
Professional Membership includes everything in Resource Membership, along with live member programming, Horse Business Review & Planning sessions and Group Coaching.
We'll also be introducing opportunities for members to create their own peer groups with other horse professionals they know and respect. This could be a group of professional riders, trainers or coaches in different parts of the country or around the world who want to meet regularly, share ideas and work through business and career issues together. You choose the people you want in the room. Equestrian Professional will provide the online meeting space and I'll facilitate the conversation.
We'll continue our Horse Business Review & Planning sessions and will also be adding a mix of Group Coaching, workshops and expert presentations. Some educational sessions will be recorded and added to the Member Library, while Group Coaching and discussions involving members' individual businesses will remain private.
Professional Membership is $99/month.
Private Advisory Membership
Sometimes you want consistent access to an advisor who already understands your business and career and can help you think through what's happening as it happens.
Private Advisory includes all Equestrian Professional Membership benefits, along with a private 60-minute Consulting & Advisory session with me each month. Because we're working together consistently, we can make very efficient use of that time. We might work through an immediate issue with a client, use one of our custom tools to evaluate a new revenue stream or test a pricing decision, or step back and work on the longer-term direction of your business and career.
The point isn't simply to have a monthly meeting. It's to have a regular place to stay on track, take action and make meaningful progress, whether something needs your attention right now or you're planning for where you want your business and career to be several years from now.
Private Advisory is $350/month
Private Advisory is a new way to work with me, and because it involves working together personally each month, I can only work with a limited number of Advisory clients at a time. If you'd like to work with me this way, I encourage you to join early. Once my Advisory schedule is full, new enrollments will be paused until a space becomes available.
Strategic Consulting
There are also times when a monthly Advisory session isn't enough, or when you simply want to make substantial progress more quickly.
Strategic Consulting provides a concentrated period of work on a specific business opportunity, challenge or change. Depending on what we're working on, that might include a custom operational pro forma, financial and operational analysis, business-model development, scenario modeling, marketing and branding strategy, or evaluating a significant investment or change in direction.
Strategic Consulting can be added when needed, whether you're participating in Membership and Group Coaching or working with me through Private Advisory.
Why October Is Such a Good Time to Begin
October is one of the best times of year to step back and look seriously at your business and career. By this point in the year, you have enough information to see what's working, what's not and where changes may be needed. At the same time, there is still time to address immediate issues, make thoughtful changes and begin planning for the coming year before January arrives.
Whether you want to work independently with our resources, participate in Group Coaching or work with me privately, this is a good time to take stock of where you are, decide where you want to go and start putting the pieces in place to get there.
The idea behind all of this is fairly simple. You should be able to choose the level of access and support that makes sense for what is happening in your business and career right now, and change that level as your needs change.
