New Outbreak of EHV Worries Horse Owners - How to Stay Informed
Elisabeth McMillan
Eleven new cases of EHV have been confirmed in California. With EHV (Equine Herpes Virus) back in the news again, it's essential for horse professionals to stay informed.
A few months ago, I found this really cool tool from Merial that will show you a national map of disease outbreaks that affect equines.
It will also send you text alerts if there is an equine disease outbreak near you. The alert system keeps you in the loop about outbreaks of EHV and also West Nile Virus, Rabies, Flu, Eastern and Western Equine Encephalitis, and Potmac Horse Fever.
Here is a link to Merial's Outbreak Alert. I thought it was pretty helpful. Let us know what you think. If you found this information valuable - Click the share button!
