Julie I. Fershtman Announces Equine Law Speaking Engagements for 2010
Nationally known Equine Law practitioner Julie I. Fershtman is a speaker at two major equine industry conventions in 2010.
On March 12 and March 13, 2010, she will be speaking at the Michigan Horse Council International Stallion Exposition and Trade Show. Her topic on Friday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m., is “Liability in Equine Activities and 8 Suggestions for Avoiding It.” On Saturday, March 13, 2010, at 11:30 a.m., she will speak on “Legal Disputes in a Tough Economy and How to Avoid Them.”

Fershtman is also a speaker on event liability issues at the National Conference on Equine Law sponsored by the University of Kentucky College of Law Department of Continuing Legal Education. Fershtman is one of the most experienced Equine Law practitioners in the United States. A lawyer for over 23 years, her practice crosses all breeds and disciplines and serves a national clientele of businesses, clinicians, trainers, stables, associations, and individual horse owners. She has successfully tried equine-related cases before juries in four states. She has also drafted hundreds of contracts that cover a wide variety of equine transactions. She is a Fellow of the American College of Equine Attorneys.
Fershtman is the author of three books and hundreds of published articles.
