Questions for an Equine Law Practitioner In Tough Financial Times - Can You Repossess a Horse When the Buyer Fails to Pay?
Last year I sold one of my horses on installment payments. We had no agreement in writing, but the buyer promised to pay me within six months and I let him take the horse. Six months passed, but he only paid a small part of what he owed. Every time I call him asking for the money he gives me tons of excuses. Can I just take back the horse and call it off? . . .
